SALVATION

BIBLE REQUIREMENTS:

Acts 2:38 No other way to have sins remitted. When the Holy Ghost convicts the sinner he must confess his sins; forsake them; repent of them believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and he shall be saved. This is the New Birth and admits him into God’s church. 1 Cor. 12:13 & 18; Acts 2:47

BAPTISM OF HOLY GHOST FOR BELIEVERS

The Holy Ghost Promised: “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I,... he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” Matt. 3:11; Acts 2:38 (John 14:15-18) Acts 8:17

The Holy Ghost Given:

“He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost SINCE YE BELIEVED?” Acts 19:2. (Vs. 6) “And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them.”“Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.” Acts 8:17.

Power accompanies Spirit filled life.

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” Acts 1:8 Read Acts 4:31

Speaking In Unknown Tongues is not the evidence. Read Acts 2:1-13 Vs. 4: “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues...” Vs. 6: “every man heard them speak in his own language.” Vs. 11: “the wonderful works of God.” Vs. 5: “devout men out of every nation under heaven,” heard and understood their speech.

HOLY LIFE REQUIRED OF CHRISTIANS

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin.” 1 John 3:9 “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not...” 1 John 5:18. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, TEACHING US that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, RIGHTEOUSLY, and GODLY, in this present world.” Titus 2:11-12, Read Eph. 1:4. “Holiness becometh thine house, 0 Lord, for ever.” Psa. 93:5 As Christians Peter said, “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood,” 1 Pet. 2:5 Paul said, “The house of God, which is the church of the living God...”  1 Tim. 3:15

A holy life distinguishes the saints from the sinners, and saints are fitly framed together and groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord. Eph. 2:19-22. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Heb. 12:14 Read Luke 1:74-75.

CHRISTIAN ORDINANCES

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” Matt. 28:20.

WATER BAPTISM FOR BELIEVERS

Consists of bread and wine .............. Vs. 27, 34
Observe ‘till Christ comes ...................... Vs. 26

FEET WASHING

John 13:1-17 “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet: ye also OUGHT to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example...” John 13:14-15. (WAS NOT A JEWISH CUSTOM) In the custom each washed his own feet. Gen. 18:4; 19:2. In the ordinance we are taught to wash one another’s feet. John. 13:14 An ordinance exemplifing submission to our brother. “Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” Eph. 5:21.

JESUS PRAYED FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY

Jesus built but one church. “I will build MY CHURCH.” Matt. 16:18
Bible Condemns Division Among Christians “Now I beseech you,... that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you.” 1 Cor. 1:10

Bible Calls Christians To The One Fold (Church). “That they all may be one as thou, Father, art in me,
and I in them that they also may be one in us that the world may believe.”
