IN SEARCH OF TRUTH

Many people have been hurt by religious professors, to the extent that they no longer desire to lay hold on the promises of God and eternal life, so you would think. Yet, nothing will ever satisfy the human soul except God, the Creator.

In all the mass of hypocrisy, religious forms and false doctrines, God is still faithful to honest hearts. The precious gospel of Jesus Christ can still prevail over all religious confusion and make clear the way of true salvation.

The compassionate spirit of Christ reaches down to honest hearts that are sick of immoral living and dead religious forms. His Holy Spirit can convince them of their sinful condition, and bring them an opportunity for true Bible salvation.

God will deal with the religious wrong doers by whom many are held captive. Those who deceive shall reap what they have sown in an awful destruction. But, God has deliverance for those that reach out as Psalm 107:6, 7 tell us. “Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.” This promise is still true today. Christ’s gospel encompasses a city of habitation where righteousness dwells. To enter we must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in the right way, which is found in Isaiah 35:8. “And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called, the way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for those, the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.”

Holiness is still the Bible way, a way that does not err. In our old foolish ways we have erred; but we can be cleansed of all unrighteousness through the blood of Christ. We can walk even as He walked. Therein lies true Bible salvation. Jesus was our example of a holy life.

Jesus confronted the religious Jews and those teachings, which were man-made doctrines. Yet they believed Him not. In John 8:24, He gave a firm reproof for their unbelief. “I said therefore unto you that ye shall die in your sins, for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.”

Those religious Jews chose to believe their own way instead of what Jesus taught. Shall we not also die in our sins if we fail to believe His word? If so, then; “Whither I go, ye cannot come.” John 8:21. Jesus Christ has the power to forgive us of all our sin and to enable us by His grace to walk as He walked, which was without sin. In Luke 13:24 Jesus tells us: “Strive to enter in at the straight gate: for many I say unto you, will seek to enter in and shall not be able.” Why is this? Because, unbelief is a spiritual thing. It affects our spiritual life with God. If we are to believe God we must depart from iniquity and serve him His way. We must choose to do this because Bible salvation is a choice, not an emotion.

Much of the world’s thoughts, ideas, and opinions are constantly drawing us to conform to unrighteous living. If we would choose to serve God and make Heaven our home, we must strive against the influences that have no place in a true Christian’s life.

1st John 3:5 tells us that, “Christ was manifested to take away our sin and in him is no sin.”

By God’s grace we are saved and through the power of grace we walk in newness of life, without sin. (Romans 6:4). We are no longer a servant, bound under the yoke of sin. Romans 6:14 tells us “For sin shall not have dominion over you.”

Do you believe this divine grace of God through Jesus Christ can save and set you free from all sin? If so, the Bible tells us, “He that believeth on Him shall have everlasting life.” John 1: 12 says, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”

Jesus will not refuse a true desire for God and an honest heart of repentance. “Whosoever confesseth and forsaketh sin shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13) Jesus built His Church. It is a city where its inhabitants submit to God’s Word and are in a safe place. The truth is preached there. God’s marvelous hand has, and is still gathering individuals, groups, and congregations back to the truth of this gospel in the spirit of Bible unity. In this city we learn how to live by the faith of Jesus Christ and follow His Holy Spirit.

Please read Philippians 3:7-9, John 17:23, and 1st John 3:24. Great is His faithfulness to the souls of men.

May this tract increase your desire for the things above, and encourage you to lay hold on eternal life.
