Tract Number 361 Audio download at bottom of page ________________ TRUTH YOU CAN KNOW Too often people do not find out for themselves just what the true Word of God teaches, but instead they take what some man tells them, not making sure that they are not deceived. What difference does it make if one is deceived? Eternal values are attached to the truth, the difference as to where we will spend eternity. Because Jesus spoke the truth to the multitude following him they “went back, and walked no more with him” (John 6:66). Then he asked the twelve, “Will ye also go away?” Peter replied, “thou hast the words of eternal life!” (John 6:68). The Pharisees did not have the words of eternal life and were themselves dead in sins and trespasses. Many religious leaders are lost to day and out to make merchandise of people. What will God do if people do not make sure that what they believe is the truth? If they persist on in taking pleasure in unrighteousness, of enjoying their sins while they profess, “God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned (eternally) who believed not the truth” ( 2nd Thessalonians 2:11-12). Jude says that they are “reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” (Jude 6). Those who resist the chain of truth will fall under the chain of error, and it is impossible to be saved but according to truth! God has given to us “exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2nd Peter 1:4). How in the name of common sense can any one hope to ignore this truth and not suffer dire consequences? Some presume to do so! It is my desire to put you to looking into God’s Word, to searching to see if you really know truth, or if you are permitting someone to deceive your soul. If you lack divine wisdom, God will give it to you for the asking, if you just ask in faith and wait on him for the answer (James 1:5-6). If we make the sad mistake of not knowing God personally, we will not be able to come back and try to get acquainted with him after this life. You can know him now and enjoy the truth which is able to save you from all your sins. Worship where truth is taught. By A. K. Chancellor
