RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH
In 2nd Timothy 2:15 we read, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.” So many today practice the first clause in this text. “Study to show thyself.” Multitudes talk, preach, sing, pray, write and work hard to be heard, seen, and praised of man. JUDE says seeking men’s admiration. Verse 16. It is a fact, that the preacher’s itch is one of the worst and most widely spread and dangerous contagion in the religious world.
Many say, just preach Christ; but nothing controversial or to arouse seriousness. It’s this way, one of God’s ministers came to a certain camp meeting (Church of God) and was told he could preach, but nothing controversial. Then they call others Babylon. That attitude was held on John and Jesus also, but they rode rough shod over man’s demand, and preached as God bade them preach. These were those who rejected and turned against the message of Revelation.
Now we desire to look into God’s Word and find out why we say God’s Word is not rightly divided; as we study this heresy of once saved, you can NEVER be lost. We have had correspondence with some strong on this eternal security. They say once your name is written in the book of life, it will NEVER be erased. He said there is not one script, to show where this ever happened or was done by the Lord. We know this is not true: God told Moses, he that sinneth against me, HIM will I blot out of my Book. Exodus 32:33. In Deuteronomy 24:16, the fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children for the fathers, everyone shall be put to death for his own SIN. Revelation 3:5, He that overcometh (does not sin again) shall be clothed in white (righteousness) and I WILL NOT BLOT OUT HIS NAME out of the book of life... Verse 15, “I know thy works ... neither cold nor hot. I would ye were cold or hot (no middle ground in God’s kingdom). Because thou art neither cold nor hot, I WILL SPUE THEE OUT OF MY MOUTH.” LOOKS LIKE GOD GETS ANGRY WITH SINNING CHRISTIANS, and puts them out.
Acts 1:25 says, that JUDAS BY TRANSGRESSION FELL. He must have been UP somewhere to have this said of him. In trying to prove that eternal life can never be lost once you’re saved, these get together every verse of God’s Word on this subject of EVERLASTING LIFE, and declare that once you are a partaker of this, you can never lose it. They say you will and do commit sin, but you can never lose your salvation or forfeit your eternal life in Christ. No blindness is so blinding as is spiritual blindness to God’s truth. This is a tragedy.
Two little boys were playing out and one said, “I have a pretty penny,” The other said, “You do not.” “Alright, I’ll show it to you.” “No you won’t, I won’t look,” and he closed his eyes. This is a good illustration of people who are caged in places they do not want to leave or find the way out of. “He that believeth hath everlasting life,” and they apply this to a mind or head belief. It says, “If thou BELIEVE in thine heart, then confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus thou shalt be saved.” To be saved is to quit sinning. There is no such thing as a sinning saint of God. Sin is of the devil, and so are sinners and professing church members by whatever name they are called.
Adam and Eve fell from righteousness unto sin by ONE DISOBEDIENCE to God. How did you get a loophole to get by? They were in God’s image, holy and without sin.
This “sin you must” religion is widespread over the wor1d, and these do not believe in sanctification or a second work of grace. No wonder, they don’t believe in the first one. “Being justified by faith we have peace with God.” This is so enlightening and wonderful you just want to go on into this grace wherein we stand. Romans 5:1, 2. When we rightly divide the Word of Truth, there is no CONFUSION. His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, if we walk with God. It is such a dangerous step to take and try to teach the Word of God by human wisdom. If Jesus told the disciples not to go out to teach until the Holy Ghost came in the beginning of the New Testament Church of God, how necessary it is today to have the GREAT TEACHER to rightly divide it, for the security of the soul.
These teachers by human reasoning are the cause of division we see all over the world, and has created nothing but confusion and millions will be lost because of it.
“How pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” The unity of the faith once delivered to the saints. You can be one of these, if you will obey God. Why not give your life unto Him, today?
