WILL THERE BE A MILLENNIUM?

A 1,000 Year Reign Of Christ On Earth?

Some in nearly all sects teach that Christ will come back to what was the HOLY LAND under the LAW dispensation. (This was a type of a full experience of Salvation in the Gospel Dispensation, Jerusalem being the type of the Church of God, and the Land of Canaan being the type of the experience of Sanctification. See Isaiah. 28:16 with 1st Corinthians 3:11; Isaiah 2:2-3 with Hebrews 12:22.25).

All millennial teachers use Rev. 20:1-8 for their strongest scriptures, but let us see who this has reference to, and when it was to take place. I had believed in this teaching for about 30 years, but later found that it had no Bible grounds to stand on, and that Christ’s kingdom is a spiritual kingdom, and started when John, Jesus and His disciples began to preach, and at the very time the Millennialist are looking for it to begin is when Christ will deliver it up to God the Father. (1st Corinthians 15: 20-26).

Read in Revelation 20:4-8, "And I saw thrones, and they that sat upon them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ for 1,000 years, but the rest of the dead lived not again until the 1,000 years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and Holy is he that hath part in the First resurrection: on such the Second Death hath no power but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, AND SHALL REIGN WITH HIM FOR 1,000 YEARS, and when the 1,000 years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go forth to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea." First, we shall consider the thrones, and they that sat on them. Revelation 2:6; 5:10; 20:6; 1st Corinthians 4:8; Romans 5:17; 2nd Timothy 2:12, we see by these scriptures (also Luke 22:28,29; 1st Corinthians 6:2) that we are kings and priests with Him, and reign with Him in this life over Satan and sin (Romans 6:14). If we are made a part of His kingdom through the NEW BIRTH (John 3:3-5). Some say that this reigning and judging will be after this life, but we can thank God it will not be left to any of the saints to judge us after this life. Again see 1st Corinthians 6:2; I Peter 4:17, God has appointed a day in which HE WILL JUDGE the world by that man CHRIST JESUS (Acts 17:31) BY THE WORD OF GOD, John 12: 48; Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 25:31-33; Revelations 20:11-15; 2nd Thessalonians 1:7-10 with John 5:28,29. These scriptures show that when Jesus returns, ALL WILL BE resurrected, judged, and rewarded. "EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM" Rev. 1:7 and the wicked, disobedient, negligent, and all false prophets and those DECEIVED BY THEM, shall wail because of Him, but the righteous shall rejoice and shine forever. (Daniel 12:3). We see by 2nd Peter 3:7-11 that when Jesus comes, this earth will be dissolved, melt with fervent heat, and its place will be found no more. (Revelation 20:11). Where, when and why would there be a MILLENNIUM? There will be no place for it, for this earth WILL BE DISSOLVED. There will be no time for it, for time will be no longer. There certainly will be no need for it, as God’s plan of Salvation is COMPLETE now. And for all who will receive it, Jew or Gentile, whosoever will, God is no respector of persons Acts 10:34-35; Revelation 22:17; John 3:16. To further prove the statement above about the saints judging in this life see 1st Peter 4:17. The time is come that JUDGMENT must begin at the house of God.

Point two in this scripture: the souls (we see) of the MARTYRS under the altar (under the care of Christ) and they reigned with Him 1,000 years. We see it was the souls that were doing the reigning; and who will deny that the souls of the martyrs who gave their lives for the Gospel of Christ, were reigning with Him. But this 1,000 years has reference to the 1,000 year period when very few souls were being saved, comparatively speaking, while Papalism was in world rule. Her time according to Revelation 13:5 was 42 months or 1260 days, or 1260 years of Prophetic Time, from 270 A.D. to 1530 A.D. See Ezekiel 4:4-6 for prophetic time scale. The Great Red Dragon (Revelation 20) was the same one mentioned in Revelation 12:3-17. This could be no other than Pagan Rome, which was in world power when Jesus came and during His ministry. HOW AND WHERE WAS HE (the dragon) OVERCOME? He was in the heavenly places or higher places of religious worship and was overcome by the Blood of Christ, and by the Word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives to the death. Rejoice ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them (Truly Saved Men and Women). Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and sea! (The people in Catholicism and Protestantism including all false holiness that are man ruled), for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. We also read in Revelation 12:10, "NOW IS COME SALVATION AND STRENGTH, and the kingdom of our God." This was certainly fulfilled with the beginning of the Gospel Dispensation (Luke 16:16; Matthew 3: 2; 4:17; 10:7). This is the very same case mentioned in Revelation 20:1-3, where the dragon was bound and cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years. We see by Revelation 20:3; 11:7; 12:12-13; 13:1, 11; 17:8; that the BOTTOMLESS PIT (something without foundation, from the lower regions) is the same as the sea or the earth, for it speaks of the beast (Revelation 13:1,2,4) coming up out of the sea (Revelation 17:5) as peoples, multitudes and nations. This sea is CATHOLICISM, while God also has a sea of glass which the saints stood on (Revelation 15:2). Then we see the two horned beast come up out of the earth (Protestantism and False Holiness). He had two horns like a Lamb, but spake like a dragon. He also exercised all the power of the beast before him (see Revelation 13:12-13). Paganism was truly instigated by Satan. When overcome in about 530 A.D., he deceived the nations (in no more ways) no more, (EXCEPT by Papalism), but after the 1,000 years were finished, he began to deceive in a multiplicity of ways through SECTISM. How can Paganism and Protestantism be compared? Paganism had many gods, and Protestantism has many Ways to serve this one God we believe in. God says in Ephesians 4:4-6, "There is one body, one spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God."

The 1,000 years it mentions in Revelation 20 is also this same period, 530 A.D. to 1530 A.D.

Souls began spiritually to live by far, far greater numbers with Justification preached by Martin Luther, the beginning of the religious reformation. This is the 1st Resurrection which is a spiritual resurrection. See John 5:25; Ephesians 2:1,5. QUICKENED-made alive from a death in sin, to life in Christ. The first death for Adam and Eve was a spiritual death and this is the case with every one who comes to the age of accountability, so naturally the FIRST resurrection must be spiritual.

Christ’s kingdom is a SPIRITUAL kingdom, and we can only be a part of it by means of a Spiritual Birth, John 3:3-5, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see nor enter the kingdom of heaven." John 18:36, "My Kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight." Luke 16:16, "The law and the prophets were until John: Since that time the kingdom of God is preached and every man presseth into it" Luke 17:20-21, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or lo there! For behold the kingdom of God is within you." (They cannot say it is at Jerusalem, Salt Lake City, nor Independence Missouri, for it is a SPIRITUAL KINGDOM. Mark 9:1, "Some that stand here shall not taste of death until they see the kingdom of God come with Power." Are some of those men still living after nearly 2,000 years? CERTAINLY NOT. This was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost, when the 120 were filled with the Holy Spirit and 3,000 souls more got saved (Added unto them, by the Lord, Acts 2:41,47). Again we read in Romans 14:17, "For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." As before stated, John, Jesus, and the 70 (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; 10:7) all preached "REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND."

Revelation 17:12, God speaks of ten kings who had received no kingdom as yet. WHO WERE THESE? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0, includes all numerals; This would no doubt refer to all who are looking for a literal kingdom. They miss some blessings of His SPIRITUAL KINGDOM by rejecting this truth Thank God for the privilege of REIGNING WITH HIM NOW!!!
