The Second And Last Coming Of Jesus
All who believe the Bible as the Word of God know that Jesus’ first coming was to save His people from their sins, and that He was born of a virgin in a lowly manger of Bethlehem of Judea as was prophesied of His coming. He grew up in subjection to His earthly parents, and at the age of twelve He talked with learned men of the Jews and astonished them with His words. At thirty years of age He was baptized of John and declared to be the Lamb [sacrifice] of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Thank God for Jesus. The Holy Ghost witnessed to Him being God’s Son. Simeon took the babe in His arms and said (by inspiration of God] "Let now thy servant depart in peace, for mine eyes have seen thy Salvation." Luke 2: 25-33.
His first sermon [as was also John’s] was, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven IS AT HAND"[His first coming]. He went into the synagogue of the Jews and read direct prophecy of His mission on earth. They eyed Him with that old green eye of jealousy from that day they tried to kill Him, but HIS HOUR was not yet come as He often said. Isaiah 61: 1-3.
Jesus called 12 men to follow Him and learn of Him, and He told them of His death and resurrection, and then said, "Let not your hearts be troubled" believe in ME. If I go I WILL COME AGAIN to receive you unto myself. John 14: 3. "Heaven and earth SHALL pass away, BUT MY WORDS SHALL NEVER PASS AWAY." So we will believe Jesus’ words, I WILL COME AGAIN. What if some don’t believe? This will NEVER change God’s plan. He will come again, not on earth; but in the rending heavens. His call will summons ALL to His command.
HIS COMING VISIBLE TO ALL PEOPLE
Revelation 1:7, "Behold He cometh with clouds; and EVERY EYE shall see Him, and they also who pierced Him: and ALL kindreds of the earth SHALL wail because of Him." Matthew 24: 27, Jesus said, as the lightning cometh out of the east and shines unto the west so SHALL HIS coming be [visible in all directions]. Men would like to hide and seek diligently for a place and cover in rocks and mountains of false hopes, but will not be able to do so. The gospel of the kingdom whom His ministers have declared Him King of kings and Lord of lords will then be a reality to every tribe and tongue and nation.
IT WILL NOT BE A PROLONGED SCENE
1st Corinthians 15: 52, in the twinkling of an eye all will be changed from mortal to immortality. Romans 9: 28, a short work will God make of this EARTH. Where will a millennium be set up??? Hebrews 10: 37. He that will come, shall come and will not tarry. Rom. 9: 28. He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness.
IT WILL BE THE LAST DAY: RESURRECTION DAY
In John 6: 38, 39, "I am come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but to do the will of Him that sent me; and this is the Father’s will, that of all which He hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the LAST DAY." John 6: 40 says, "Every one which SEETH THE SON and believeth on Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY." Verse 54 says, "Whoso eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood (spiritually) hath eternal life and I will raise him up AT THE LAST DAY." Now let us see what Jesus’ close friend said of this. John 11: 24, the brother of Martha and Mary had died, and Jesus went to raise him up from death, and Martha couldn’t perceive this, but said I know he will rise again at the RESURRECTION of the LAST DAY. She knew this. Here from Jesus’ lips we have 4 verses declaring that the resurrection WILL BE THE LAST DAY, and Martha declares it in John 11: 24, also in the face of this where can millennialist find the time to set up their 1000 yr. plan?? If the Resurrection is the LAST DAY and the LAST DAY is the RESURRECTION DAY where does the millennial day come in?? No man can create a day, or prolong time, but God. Even though man has set our clocks back, he cannot lengthen the day, such teaching is not Biblical, not reasonable, not needful. Jesus said when He was dying on the cross, "It is finished." No more plan for a special race on a special time. God is no respector of persons. He has A FAITH once delivered to the Saints, for this we must contend says Jude 3. Do not be deceived.
WHO WILL BE RAISED UP AT JESUS’ COMING???
John 5: 21, "As the Father raiseth up THE DEAD, even so the SON quickeneth whom he will." Verse 25 speaks of the dead in sin, made alive in CHRIST here. Verse 28, Jesus said, "Marvel not at this (spiritual resurrection) for the hour is coming (future) in which ALL in their graves shall hear His voice and shall come forth. They that have done good unto resurrection of life, they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation." Note with me ONE RESURRECTION. All will come forth at God’s call, both evil and the good at the same day and time. One literal or bodily resurrection and one spiritual resurrection declared. 1st Peter 4: 5, "He will judge the quick (living) and the dead." 2nd Timothy 4: 1, Paul tells Timothy, "I charge thee before God and the Lord Jesus Christ who SHALL JUDGE THE QUICK AND THE DEAD AT HIS APPEARING, and his kingdom, (of heaven) Preach THE WORD; in season and out..." (under all conditions). Men will change the laws and times with their ideas, and the time will come they WILL NOT ENDURE sound doctrine, but will heap teachers to themselves with itching ears for something new? "Believe NOT every spirit, but try them" said 1st John 4: 1. Do not look for a ship which will NEVER COME IN (millennium).
WHEN WILL HE COME?
Matthew 24: 14, Jesus said, "And THIS GOSPEL of the kingdom shall be preached in ALL the WORLD for a witness unto ALL NATIONS; then shall the END COME." Luke 12: 40, In an hour that ye think not, in a time of gross atheism, unbelief and falsity of gospels, fleshly living, total rejection of Christ by the world. 1st Thessalonians 5: 2, He will come as a thief in the night; not literal night, but a time of spiritual darkness and false darkness against the TRUTH of God, when MEN cry peace and safety. Verse 3, sudden destruction cometh upon them. Other scriptures could be given, but these are sufficient.
IN WHAT MANNER WILL HE COME?
He will deliver up the kingdom (of grace) to the FATHER at the END and put down all rule and all authority and power, 1st Corinthians 15: 24. Matthew 16: 27, "And the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works." 2nd Thessalonians 1: 8, "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them... obey not the gospel." He came first as a Savior from sin, the second time to destroy the place of sin. He will come to be glorified in His Saints, (verse 10) and be admired by all who believe. . . in that DAY. Revelation 22: 7, "Behold I come QUICKLY."
WHAT WILL TAKE PLACE ON EARTH AT HIS COMING??
2nd Peter 3, tells us of the destruction of the old world by a flood. By obedience to God, one man and his family were saved by the ark, when God shut him in. Verse 7, but now the heavens and earth by HIS SAME WORD are kept and reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. Verse 9, God is not slack on His promise, but not willing that any perish, but come to repentance. Oh, listen to God, and yield your heart to His love. The heavens (aerial) shall pass away with a great noise; NO its not by man’s missiles or bombs, but by the word of His mouth and brightness of His coming, and the ELEMENTS shall melt with fervent heat (not burned over) THE EARTH ALSO AND THE WORKS THAT ARE THEREIN SHALL BE BURNED UP (destroyed) looking for the DAY OF GOD; man had his day then it will be God’s. The heavens being on fire (not God’s heaven) shall be dissolved. We look for a new heavens and new earth. This is not literal or of this world, when rightly divided by other scriptures.
THE LAST ACT OF HIS COMING
1st Corinthians 15: 33, we shall all be changed from mortal to immortal beings for our eternal abode. Flesh and blood cannot enter heaven or the kingdom of God, verse 50. "We shall not all sleep (die) but all be changed." Verse 52, "In a moment in a twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMP;" All the dead shall arise and then the shout of victory. "O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? The sting of death is SIN." Flee from sin and escape this sting. Paul says, "Beloved brethren be stedfast, unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord, in as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." The righteous shall be caught up TOGETHER TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR, and be forever, but the wicked shall go away into everlasting punishment for all eternity. I beg you, do not look for a day of great prosperity for the Jews, for they had their day to accept Christ, and Jesus said ye would not: Behold YOUR HOUSE is left unto YOU DESOLATE: unoccupied by the Lord. God moved out and the devil moved in and murder filled their hearts and they killed the Prince of Peace, and rejected their ONLY HOPE of eternal life and Jesus said, "Ye shall not see me until ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the NAME OF THE LORD." The Jews must accept the mission of the gospel today by God’s ministry and Word. HE IS KING of kings and LORD of lords and will triumph over ALL efforts of man and spirits of devils. "I am THE LORD, beside me there is NO OTHER." Jesus still calls, "Come unto me all ye that labor (inside) take my yoke... and learn of me, and ye SHALL FIND REST TO YOUR SOUL." "Come let us reason together saith the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet they shall be whiter than snow," Says Isaiah by the Spirit.
God’s time clock is ticking away to that midnight hour, and it will come too. Every day brings us nearer to that LAST DAY. Watch the signs of the end. In the last days many shall depart FROM THE FAITH. Today we see in its place; faiths of men, watered gospel, Paul said another gospel, Gal. 1, which is not... Selfishness is so prevalent, morals were never so low and degrading. Little children have no modest example from mothers, all wear the same length piece of cloth. Hair straggling over their faces, men with long hair. You have to watch for a hand bag to tell which is girl or boy (teen agers) They are not wholly to blame. Adults set the style or fad, adults will answer for their example in the home; pastors will answer for NOT preaching the Truth on modesty and Christ like living. Religion has become long ago just a form of entertainment or a social gathering. Pastors are flesh feeders who do not cry out against sin in its indecency and bold arrogant career. Let us get this, these things and this conduct is fast bringing the wrath of God on America and the whole world. What part will you play in the roll call for this in that LAST GREAT DAY?? It is MUCH later than you think. Look on the fields, see what is happening, then be serious and cry out against sin and worldliness among church people. They should be an example to the sinner.
What I have written I know is truth of God’s Word. If any questions let us reason from the scriptures. The same shall judge us in the LAST DAY of time. These are perilous days, and they will get worse and worse. 2nd Timothy 3: 13. And rest assured, there will be no millennium as men tell us. Get ready now. Jesus will come to put an end to sin and this world.
We know not the day nor the hour of His coming, but we know He is coming suddenly and no one will know the hour. As a thief in the night. Unexpected, a time of spiritual darkness as to gospel light. Then hearts are closed against God and all good and truth. A time of gross unbelief and all evil calmly accepted by a whole world of sinners. A time when the signs Jesus and Paul warned us of is before us. Read of the day of Noah. Genesis 6. God’s wrath on a disobedient world, and think of these days we live in. Read 2nd Thessalonians 2nd chapter; 2nd Timothy 3rd chapter; 1st Timothy 4th chapter; Matthew 26: 31-46. We beg you—in Jesus name, STOP! LOOK! LISTEN! and PRAY!! Call on God NOW to open your eyes to the living reality of Jesus last coming when time will be no more. Eternity in HEAVEN and HELL will take over.
